Deliciously Yours Cakes will be participating at the weekly bakers market on Saturday, May 8th, 2010..the day before Mother's day! It's perfect place to bring your mum and try out some yummy sweets from local bakers including us!

Here we'll be sampling some of our ever popular cake flavors as well as offering treats for purchase. If you've got an upcoming wedding, this would be a great opportunity to meet us face to face and get some inspiration for your cake!

Wedding Feature: Danielle & David Valentine

Vintage romance was the theme for this lovely couple's "I-Do"s and Deliciously Yours Cakes was more than happy to be a part of such a unique wedding. Held at Vancouver's cozy Heritage Hall, this afternoon affair was nothing short of creative, with their guest sign in table complete with a vintage typewriter and some neat accents.

Each guest was invited to seat themselves at the reception tables decorated with bouquets of flowers in varying sizes as well as little pouches of mini-eggs as parting gifts.


As for the cake, simple and elegant was the inspiration for it, so to tie this in with the vintage feel of the day, we used our mini white cake pedestal. French vanilla cake was the winner during our cake consult so we made a 6" round paired with french vanilla buttercream.

To match their beautiful floral decor, the couple chose Ranunculus' in assorted colors as their cake topper:

He shoots, he scores!

A hockey themed birthday party seems fitting with the season, giving that our Canucks are doing well..so we were thrilled to make some sweet treats for a little boy who loves hockey!

French vanilla flavored cupcakes with green vanilla buttercream icing is what the birthday boy requested and for a little hockey flavor, we added some hockey themed milk chocolate toppers to finish them off!

Time to play catch up!

Can you believe its April already?! Life has been insanely busy for both Sara and I, we had a wonderful 2009 filled with weddings, birthdays and vampires..we're excited for what has and what will be in store for 2010!
